GCC是由 GNU 开发的编程语言编译器。 GCC最初代表“GNU C Compiler”,当时只支持C语言。 后来又扩展能够支持更多编程语言,包括 C++、Fortran 和 Java 等。 因此,GCC也被重新定义为“GNU Compiler Collection”,成为历史上最优秀的编译器, 其执行效率与一般的编译器相比平均效率要高 20%~30%。

编译动态库以上两种方法相比较,第一中方法编译时需要所有文件重新编译,而第二种方法可以只重新编译修改的文件,未修改的文件不用重新编译。

生成可执行程序过程为成四个步骤:
1、由.c文件到.i文件,这个过程叫预处理。
2、由.i文件到.s文件,这个过程叫编译。
3、由.s文件到.o文件,这个过程叫汇编。
4、由.o文件到可执行文件,这个过程叫链接。
预处理的命令为:
gcc -E test.c -o test.i
预处理不处理语法错误,只是会执行预处理指令(包含头文件,宏定义,预处理条件开关)
在预处时,使用-i指令可以查看预处理得到的文件。
预处理得到的文件可以使用文本编辑器直接查看。
在预处理的过程后。原本的源文件的注释部分会被去掉。
定义的一些宏定义和宏定义规定的一些需要编译和不需要编译的代码块会被删除或者直接添加到预编译文件中。
经过预处理之后的源文件的大小会变成原来的几倍大。多出的文本将处理好的语句添加到.i文件中。

这里的编译过程是指将与处理好之后的.i文件经过编译器的处理生成汇编文件。
这里的汇编文件还可以使用文档编辑器直接查看。还不能直接在系统中执行。
但是文件的大小已经比原来的文件小很多了。
编译的时候编译器会检查语法错误。
